Choosing your GDI Website Domain Name
The first part of the Spiderweb system introduces Global Domains International or GDI for short. GDI manage the domain allocation for .ws domains, WS stands for Web Site. In the overcrowded .com space, it is getting very hard if not impossible to find short catchy keyword related domain names. You are pretty much limited to long names which you’d be lucky if anyone would ever remember. This is where GDI comes in, you now have a second chance to pick a really good domain name.
As more and more of the planet joins the online community the demand for new domain names is going to be enormous. GDI are applying a multilevel marketing commission system to the marketing of .ws domain. If you do the math you’ll find more than 50% of the domain registration fee is paid out in commissions. Commissions of $1 per month can earn up to 5 levels deep on all referrals, and there is no limit to how many people you refer. So for any enterprising individuals, marketing .ws domains can be a very profitable business in itself. However just trying to sign up your friends for a .ws domain name isn’t going to get you very far and will probably go down as well as trying to push any other MLM product on your friends. You need to find people who are either looking for a domain name for an online business or an online business opportunity.
This is where the free Spiderweb system comes in. Following the free Spiderweb video and hands on instructions, you’ll learn who to use the internet to find customers for any business or service you wish to market. So if you decide to purchase a GDI .ws domain name for yourself and complete the free Spiderweb marketing course, you’ll now have an almost hands free side business that can start earning you a monthly income almost straight away. Even if you’re using the Spiderweb course to learn how to promote another business that you’re already in, it makes sense to promote the Spiderweb course on the side while promoting your main business. I’ve only just completed the Spiderweb course myself and already found almost 10 leads, 2 of which have now completed the course and I’ve hardly even started applying the marketing ideas that I learned from the Spiderweb course.
Assuming you decide to buy a GDI .ws domain then it would be a good idea to do a little research to find the perfect domain name. If you only ever intend to use it to market the Spiderweb course then perhaps spiderweb should be part of the name. If you have another business you intend to use it for then you need to do some keyword research to help find not only a memorable and catchy name but one that will pick up free traffic from search engines when people type in keywords for a search. I used google’s free keyword tool to help pick my new .ws domain. As my current focus is Internet marketing or more accurately information on how to make money on the internet, I searched for keywords relating to making money. Turns out the “make money” is searched for on google over 2.2 million times a month, loosing out only to income which is searched for 5 million times a month. On the face of it 247income.ws might be a better choice until you realize these are aggregated searches. Most of the searches for income are likely to be for information on “income tax” which alone accounts for 1.5 million of the 5 million searches. In the end I went with make247money.ws and make247money.com as “make money” are very targeted keywords while income is less so but still pretty good. As for the use of numbers in a domain name. When the domain name you want is gone and these days it probably is unless you’re buying a .ws domain, you can often pickup a good second choice by adding hyphens or numbers between keywords. I prefer numbers and it can help make the domain catchy. If you use hyphens then you will always loose some traffic to similar domains that don’t use the hyphens. People when typing in domain names to their browser will almost certainly not add any hyphens. If all you care about is getting good rankings for keywords in search engine results then hyphens and numbers will do equally well.
So play around with the google keyword tool and hunt down a short catchy name that includes at least one keyword. You may have read that keywords in domain names aren’t important. Not true! If the keyword is in the domain name and website content and it is relevant to the topic of your website so that all your future backlinks will likely include the keyword then it definitely add up to better search engine results ie. free traffic in the future and more income potential. Not to mention if one day you decide to sell your domain and online business, then a highly targeted relevant domain name is going to enhance the value enormously.
